  1. Posters! is a quick and easy stickup notes program for Windows.  It is
  2. designed to be simple to use as possible with few fancy features.
  3. Written in Visual Basic 3.0 the program requires the Microsoft
  4. distributable runtime VBRUN300.DLL.

  6. Registration:  Register this program by sending $10 to:

  12. Registration removes the reminder screen/delays and provides you license
  13. to use the program on up to 10 computers you own and operate.

  17. you didn't like about the current version to cause you not to register.

  24. Installation:  Unzip the files to a directory on your hard disk and add
  25. a Posters! icon to your windows startup group.  (The distributable
  26. runtime library THREED.VBX is included.  This file must be present but
  27. may be in the Posters! program directory or your windows system
  28. directory.)  You may use program manager to assign a short-cut key to
  29. the program while/after creating the program icon.

  31. Options:
  32.  
  33.         Directory option:  Posters! will automatically load all existing
  34. notes from the startup directory (changeable each time Posters! is
  35. executed) onto your desktop.
  36.  
  37.         Confirm delete option:  To have Posters! prompt you to confirm
  38. deletion of each note when you double-click in the body of the note,
  39. select yes, to have Posters! delete the note without prompting when you
  40. double-click in the body of the note, select no.

  42. Operation:

  44.         Adding notes:  To add a new note, double-click the Posters! icon
  45. and complete the pop-up form and fill in the text of the next and select
  46. OK button.

  48.         Deleting notes:  To delete a note, double click anywhere in
  49. the body of the note.

  51. Keys:  The notes are designed so you can use the enter key in a
  52. normal fashion.  While entering notes, the text will simply scroll by
  53. when you press return.  It will also use automatic word-wrapping at the
  54. ends of the lines.  You can then use the mouse to select "OK" (or the
  55. ESC key to abort the note) or use tab and return/space to select "OK".

  57. Notes size:  Notes are initially sized to 1/16 screen width for data
  58. entry and for screen placement.  If your information exceeds this
  59. length, the note will be extended automatically until it is sufficient
  60. to hold the entire note entered.  This may result in overlap of
  61. succeeding notes.

  63. Notes arrangement:  Notes are automatically sized and
  64. placed to allow 16 notes per screen.  Additional notes are place in an
  65. overlay fashion on the previous screen of notes slightly lower and to
  66. the right of the previous layer.

  68. Program Termination:  The program terminates automatically when windows
  69. terminates.  Alternatively, you may use the program managers task list
  70. to end the program.  Notes are saved when they are entered and deleted
  71. when requested, therefore, all notes on the screen at termination will
  72. be restored when the program is loaded again if the same directory is
  73. used/specified.
